Please Note:

Our Calendar is used for major trailwork days only.  For example; if we plan to close an old line and open a new alternative we will post the date on the calendar.  However, we are out working at least once every weekend and generally as often as we can.

MTBtrailcare is responsible for larger trail projects in the National Park and we work to strict guidelines from our land manager, QPWS.  We have found the most productive way to progress our work is to work in small groups of experienced trail workers. However, we do welcome the assistance of individuals with spare time and enthusiasm.  If you are available to help at short notice, please call Ashley on the phone number listed below for details of our planned digging days.  You will be required to fill out QPWS volunteer worker forms before starting work on the day you come.

Ph 0407 124 501, Ashley. (I'm unavaliable to talk during working hours, so please call after 5pm or on weekends)

If you would prefer to assist with basic trail maintenance like clearing debris, trimming sighlines and light drainage work, the Gold Coast MTB Club manages those tasks.  Not everyone feels comfortable with heavy digging and really dirty work, but help at all levels keeps our trails riding at their best.  Please contact the club as below.

Michael Hoare. e-mail: president@gcmtb.com.au for information / updates and for reporting any trail issues you have seen.

In addition, please note that QPWS does not tolerate unauthorised trailbuilding in the Nerang National Park and heavy fines apply.  MTBtrailcare is working with QPWS toward the goal of sustainable, awesome and fun MTB riding on the Gold Coast.  If you would like to see our trails improve and expand, then we need your help.  Building poor quality, rogue trail does not help.  Please think, contact us and learn before you start making something we may all regret.
