Trail Work

Friday, 21-Sep 2012 @ 6:30am

Trail approvals are on the way.

The club will need volunteers to get some of the tracks up to scratch for approval.

Gillian Duncan did an assessment of some 40 kilometres of track. Only four of the 30 tracks are to be eventually closed and one of these will not be closed until a reroute is in place.

Five of the tracks will be Black Diamond, two will be Green and the others Blue, Blue (hard) or Blue (easy).

Good news for all levels of riders in Nerang.

To become an Official Volunteer contact Peter hallinan@onthenet.com.au or Ash from the contact page .

All workers need to be registered into the National Parks Volunteer system and will be covered by National Parks insurance.

Do not do any trail work until you are registered and the area to be worked on is approved.

Download a volunteer registration form now and bring it to a trail care day to get it registered.

You do not have to be a member of the Gold Coast Mountain Bike Club to join the Volunteers.

Riders might consider setting aside 5% of their riding time for volunteer work.

Nerang Volunteers will need a lot of help to make this a reality.
